Your Privacy Matters

The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act) is the guiding principle.

We collect / or do not:

  • Information you give us: Your name, email, and anything you choose to share is used only for communicating with you about your request/s.
  • How you use our site: Pages you visit, time spent, and links you click are all private and we will never share.
  • Technical details: Your IP address, browser, and device and not shared with any 3rd party – ever.

We use this to:

  • Improve our website.
  • Personalize your experience.
  • Communicate with you.
  • Meet legal requirements.

Sharing:

  • We share information only with our internal departments and business partners to improve your experience.
  • We will never share or sell your personal information.

Security:

  • We protect your information, but, advise that, no online method is 100% secure. To secure all transactions, all online payment are by 3rd party payment gateways.

Updates:

  • We may update this policy, but our commitment to your privacy won’t change.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we may track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
    • Location, IP address and
  • When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
  • Improve our store offerings
  • Send you marketing messages, but only if you choose to receive them
  • If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
  • We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 5-years years for tax and legal accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
  • We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

Who on our team has access

  • Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:
  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.
  • Our team members have access to this information to help process refunds and support you.


Terms of Use

EVCI.TECH INSTALLER PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT OUTLINE

This outline serves to define the working relationship between EVCI.TECH (the “Network Manager”) and the independent electrical contractor (the “Partner Installer”) for the provision of electric vehicle charging infrastructure services.

1. Independent Contractor Status

1.1. Relationship: The Partner Installer is, and shall remain, an independent contractor operating their own separate electrical business. The Partner Installer is not an employee, agent, joint venture, or partner of EVCI.TECH.

1.2. Liability and Risk: The Partner Installer assumes full responsibility for all operational costs, including tools, vehicles, employees, permits, licenses, insurance, and all applicable taxes (including VAT, income tax, and UIF).

1.3. Indemnity: The Partner Installer agrees to indemnify EVCI.TECH against any claims, damages, losses, or costs arising from their negligence, defective workmanship, or non-compliance with statutory requirements during the execution of any installation.

2. Scope of Work and Process Adherence

2.1. Services: The Partner Installer agrees to perform EV charger installations and associated electrical work as assigned by EVCI.TECH.

2.2. Mandated Process: The Partner Installer is mandated to follow the EVCI.TECH Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for every assigned installation, including, but not limited to, pre-site assessment communication, installation methodology, post-installation testing, and customer handover protocol.

2.3. Certification: Only EVCI Verified Installers (those who have successfully completed the required training course) are eligible to receive leads and assignments from EVCI.TECH.

2.4. Equipment: The Partner Installer is responsible for supplying and procuring all necessary tools, materials, and equipment required for the installation, unless otherwise agreed upon in the individual job assignment.

3. Financial and Commission Terms

3.1. Commissionable Sales: A commission fee is due to EVCI.TECH for any sale or job assigned or generated through a lead provided by the EVCI.TECH network, brand, website, or financing structure (a “Managed Job”).

3.2. Commission Rate: The Partner Installer agrees to pay EVCI.TECH a commission equal to (7% + 3% = 10%) of the total gross invoice value (excluding VAT) for all Managed Jobs.

3.3. Payment Cycle: The commission is due to EVCI.TECH upon the Partner Installer receiving full payment for the Managed Job, regardless of the source (customer or finance partner).

3.4. Non-Circumvention: The Partner Installer agrees not to solicit or accept future EV charging installation business directly from any customer introduced by EVCI.TECH for a period of five (5) years following the initial Managed Job, with the exception of general electrical maintenance unrelated to EV charging.

4. Brand and Quality Standards

4.1. Quality Mandate: The Partner Installer must maintain the highest industry standards of quality and professionalism. Failure to meet these standards, resulting in negative brand impact or corrective rework, may lead to financial penalties or termination.

4.2. Brand Usage: The Partner Installer agrees to represent the EVCI.TECH brand professionally, including the use of approved communication templates and, where applicable, EVCI.TECH branded safety wear or vehicle signage during Managed Jobs.

4.3. Warranty: The Partner Installer shall provide a standard workmanship warranty (to be specified) for the installation work and is primarily responsible for addressing any warranty claims arising from their labour.

5. Termination

5.1. Rights of Termination: EVCI.TECH reserves the right to terminate this agreement immediately and revoke the Verified Installer status if the Partner Installer fails to adhere to the quality standards (Section 4), violates the non-circumvention clause (Section 3.4), or repeatedly fails to follow the mandated process (Section 2.2).

5.2. Effect of Termination: Upon termination, the Partner Installer must immediately cease all use of the EVCI.TECH brand, certifications, and materials.
